‘I recently attended the parental burnout workshop with Gemma Dean, and it was an incredibly insightful experience. Gemma provided a positive and open space where I felt comfortable sharing my thoughts honestly. Her approach is empathetic and encouraging, helping me to gain valuable clarity and perspective. I highly recommend Gemma for anyone looking to explore personal growth in a supportive and constructive environment.’

‘I joined a vision board workshop and it was so relaxed and enjoyable. Gemma guided us in reflecting at the start, helping us think about our values and goals, and then there was lots of time for creativity! It's rare to have time as an adult to work with pictures and colour, and it was fun to spend time cutting and sticking. The group was friendly and the pub setting made it really comfortable. Would totally recommend!’

‘The clear explanation of what parental burnout is very helpful. I especially liked how you described it from your own experience, it made it feel real and relatable. The journaling with art activity helped me express things I often struggle to put in words’.

The Mindful Parent Hub

The Mindful Parent Hub

Welcome to The Mindful Parent Hub

The Mindful Parent Hub was born from two individuals with different skill sets but one mission, to create workshops for parents and their wellbeing. If you have heard about the workshops and want to know more keep reading. The workshops have been designed for every parent, they have been designed to help individuals navigate parenthood with self reflection, honest conversations, tools to take home and make changes and therapeutical, creative activities for you to disconnect from life and engage in.

After a successful run of our first series, we have come back with another series of workshops and using feedback from our first series we have added another two workshops on to our schedule.

What we learnt from our first series:-

-Generational trauma/parental cycles needed its own session as it plays a huge part in our parenthood. The discussion on this topic goes beyond just acknowledging that we are possibly flawed in some of our parenting ways because our subconscious has carried it on from our parents. It is about understanding how to break the cycle in order for it not to be passed on to another generation. We are all human and we make mistakes, we are not here to pass judgement but to learn from each other, create a safe space feel better in our selves.

-Repeating activities and coping strategies: Using the CBT method in our workshops we know how important it is to compare how far you have come and to track progress. One of the ways to do this is with teaching our parents the activities and processes which they can take away with them and practice at home. The hugely important reasons why we recommend our parents keep an art journal is to track progress and to remember what they find beneficial, what worked for them and also to look back at the work and reflect how far they have come and any changes that they feel with-in themselves which have been as a direct result from what they have learnt at the workshops.

-A lot of parents asked for longer sessions, unable to make the sessions longer we took on this feed back and added on the extra sessions. This meant we were able to add on important topics and also offer a free sessions for those who block booked the entire series.

The journey for us on these workshops have been hugely rewarding. To see parents make progress each week or to even come back to show the work they have done at home or discuss the changes they have made have been nothing but a testament to us as to how beneficial our workshops are. The layout of each workshop is unique in itself, children are welcome if you can’t get childcare, the cost is affordable as well as offering low income options to make it accessible to all.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss any issues you have please feel free to reach out to us you can contact us via the contact page.

You’re not alone, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

This is a FREE workshop allowing parents & caregivers to come together in a safe space. Allow yourself an hour to reflect, reassess and meet other likeminded parents.
